The Le Pauillac de Château Latour has been made every year since 1989 and is mainly developed for having a more accessible Bordeaux style instead of the Latour and Forts de Latour, which often takes (ten) years to properly drank to come.
The Pauillac is mainly made from young vines. The blend for Pauillac from Château Latour typically consists of almost 45% Merlot and the rest is Cabernet Sauvignon.
This 3rd wine from Chateau Latour is a generous one. It combines the warm, round and dark fruit of the Merlot very nicely with the tight and red fruit of the Cabernet. It is a great introduction to the Latour wines and with this Pauillac de Latour it is also elegance, balance and accessibility. The wine needs a year to 4-5 aging and will improve over the years.
