Pale to medium golden. The 2019 d'Yquem delivers powerful scents of tropical fruit. dried mangoes and pineapple paste - accentuated by acacia honey, toasted almonds and wood smoke with hints of chalk dust, kettle grain and lime blossom.
Blend of 75% Sémillon and 25% Sauvignon Blanc.
The palate reveals one of those vintages that changes shape into a seemingly drier style than it is. Largely due to its very spicy backbone of freshness and layered mineral-inspired flavours, ending with a regal, satiny taste. Already hard to resist, this will be one of those Rip Van Winkle vintages that can be predicted to lie in the cellar for not only decades but even generations.
